Brantley Morris
Intern
I am an intern at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø for the summer. I will be working with the information systems department to help maintain internal systems and assist in numerous projects that contribute to daily operations here at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø.
My job as an intern is to help make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. In my first two weeks I have helped with auditing assets through ManageEngine, ensuring the network is up and running smoothly, updating software and systems, and participating in tabletop exercises to better understand what to do in a security event.
I have been in the printing industry for three weeks with 58³Ô¹ÏÍø so far this summer.
What brought me to 58³Ô¹ÏÍø is their standing in being one of the most successful printing companies while being family-owned. This really reeled me in because it showed the work ethic and importance of the employees that the company had.
What I love most about my job is every day during lunch there is an open buffet line with amazing food. It is a great way to spend my lunch break and talk with my coworkers.
My personalized mug would be a magic cup that doubles the amount of caffeine poured into the cup.
I want to come to work each day because all my coworkers are very nice and it is always a great 8 hours of my day spent.
A fun fact about me is I used to be able to solve a Rubik’s cube in under 30 seconds. It’s been a while since I’ve tried so I am rusty now, but I used to be very quick.
I would like to share that I have 1 dog right now, but if I had to pick one unusual animal to have as a pet it would be an otter.
My favorite hobbies include going to the gym, playing basketball and watching movies. Specifically, Marvel or Pixar movies.
Every experience I have had so far at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø has contributed to my future. I was able to learn and take something away from each task, which is preparing me for my career in the future. This will then directly translate to my family and community because i will be able to support them as much as I can.
I like to give back to my community over time, in a passive manner. I have worked in soup kitchens before, but I have also helped pay for strangers’ orders at the register, give to the unfortunate, and inspire the next generation.
My favorite memory at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø so far has been touring the production plant. It was so amazing getting to see every machine and how fast they can produce thousands of books.
